That sounds crazy overpriced for what you get. You can have someone install FreeMC Boot on a standard memory card for the price of postage usually. With a network adaptor you can back up saves via FTP instead of USB.
Slightly less convenient, but not worth an extra $35. What else would this card do that would recommend it over a normal memory card?I'm not sure why you want an HD Loader alternative when HD Loader itself lets you launch PS2 backups from the hard disk.
